TECH selects David Jackson as 2004 distinguished alum

EKU's Department of Technology is pleased to announce that Mr. David B. Jackson has been selected as their departmental distinguished alum for 2004.

Mr. Jackson was honored during a presentation on Friday, April 2, 2004, at the annual College of Business and Technology Professional Skills Conference senior recognition luncheon.

The honor is reserved for special alumni who have distinguished themselves in their professions through excellence, dedication, and service.

He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Construction Technology from EKU in 1985.

Mr. Jackson is Owner and President of Hacker Brothers, Inc., a general contracting company in Corbin, Kentucky.  In the 19 years since graduating from EKU, he has progressed from an Assistant Project Manager to the owner of his own company.  Mr. Jackson has been involved in over 100 commercial construction projects and has received construction awards on two projects.

He is active in his community and coaches Little League Baseball.  Mr. Jackson is a Board member of the Associated General Contractors of Kentucky and also serves on the EKU Construction Management Program Advisory Committee.

Congratulations, Mr. Jackson, on being selected as the College of Business and Technology 2004 Distinguished Alumnus representing the Department of Technology.

The college also honored distinguished seniors for the year as selected by their respective departments within the College of Business and Technology. In addition, recipients of scholarships and awards for the 2003-04 academic year were recognized. Students were honored for outstanding achievement and more than 40 area employers were on hand to engage in networking activities with college graduating seniors.
