Lending an EKU Hand in Building Richmond

Over the past three semesters EKU Construction management students have had first-hand experience on a local project here in Richmond. Domination of Richmond is a personal care home located in Richmond, KY. The home offers personal care services and memory care to seniors living in the Richmond Area.

The Construction management students have had job site visits to Dominion of Richmond as well as internship opportunities which have allowed students to have hands on experience in their projected line of work.

The Project Manager, Jody King, graduated from EKU's Construction Management Program in the 90s. King did a great job of providing insight and opportunities for current students to explore the real construction world. The students were hands on in all stages of this project from pouring concrete, to framing and roughing-in, to finishing.

The Dominion of Richmond is scheduled to open in the Fall of 2017 as a personal care home for seniors in Richmond, Ky.
