Student Spotlight: Jeanne Ann Kelly

Jeanne Ann Kelly

This week's spotlight student is Jeanne Ann Kelly.

Jeanne is from Glasgow, Ky., where her wonderful parents Kevin and Ann Kelly still live. She is a sophomore here at Eastern Kentucky University majoring in Construction Management. Jeanne is also a Pledge for Alpha Phi Omega, a member of Toastmaster, and an intern at Amteck of Kentucky.

Jeanne chose this program because construction has construction has always been an important factor in her family and life. She heard about this fantastic program from current project managers that she has dealt with in the past. She says she loves this program because it breaks the stereotype of women not being in this field. She feels supported and that the faculty and staff are dedicated to helping students during and after college, both male AND female students.

With her degree Jeanne hopes to receive her Master’s in Construction Management and go on to be a successful project manager in the electrical field.

Jeanne encourages others to pursue this career field choice because there are plenty of opportunities for job employment and there are so many great chances to travel and meet new people. Of course, the income aspect isn’t bad either.
